Bilbao International Airport offers more than 600 flights weekly, linking directly and in an average of 1 to 3 hours, with Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Brussels, Bucharest, Dublin, Dubrovnik, Düsseldorf, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Funchal, Geneva, Lisbon, London (Heathrow and Stansted), Manchester, Marrakech, Milan, Munich, Oslo, Paris (Charles De Gaulle and Orly), Prague, Rome, Santorini, Stuttgart, Tunis and Venice. It also offers connections with the main cities in Spain.
Once in the airport: A 20-minute journey separate the airport from the centre of Bilbao. The traveller has several options for making the journey:
- Bus A3247 BILBAO-Airport: operates every day of the year, with services every 20 minutes in Summer, and 30 minutes in Winter, connecting with TERMIBUS, the Bilbao bus and coach terminus. Long-distance trains: Renfe It connects the city with Europe and the rest of Spain.
Euskotren: It connects the Basque Territory
Renfe-Feve: Barcelona and the Mediterranean: It connects the Basque Country with the rest of North-Western Spain.
The city counts with TERMIBUS as the coach terminus and it connects Bilbao to the rest of Spain and Europe. Equally, this central station, TERMIBUS, concentrates many of the city buses available within the city, within the province and the Basque region.
Moreover, at this station the underground and the tramway coincide, and TERMIBUS is 20 minutes walking distance from Bizkaia Aretoa, or 10 minutes ride by Tram.
